Small Choices, Lasting Impact

World Environmental Health Day, 26 September

Caring for the environment is not a single-day commitment. It is something we work towards through the decisions we make every day.

This World Environmental Health Day, we reflected on the practical steps that shape our work in Auroville. From using solar energy to reducing plastic packaging and sorting materials for recycling, we continue to look for ways to reduce our environmental footprint.

Even the smallest remnants can find a new purpose. Leftover candle wax from production is collected and reused, sometimes becoming special candles and sometimes made available to the Auroville community at reduced prices.

These practices reflect a simple belief: responsible production begins with paying attention to what we use, what we leave behind and what can be given another life. There is always more to improve, and every thoughtful choice contributes to that process.

\cf4\ul Discover Our Commitment to Sustainability

\cf3\ul https://www.maroma.com/fair-trade-sustainability/
